Computer Basics Level 1
Wednesday, September 1, 5:00-6:00 PM
Become familiar with using a Windows computer. Topics covered include: hardware vs software, plugging in your computer’s cords, mouse skills, starting and closing a program start menu and icons, and using the task bar.

Computer Basics Level 2
Wednesday, September 8, 5:00-6:00 PM
This class will review and build upon skills taught in Computer Basics Level 1. Additional topics covered will be connecting to the Internet, creating folders, saving and deleting files, and minimizing, restoring, and closing programs.

Internet Level 1
Wednesday, September 15, 5:00-6:00 PM
During this class, you will learn some basic terminology, how to visit websites, and how to navigate within websites.

Internet Level 2
Wednesday, September 22, 5:00-6:00 PM
You will learn how to bookmark (save) your favorite websites, print Internet content, and how to use search engines. You will also discover what the Internet is used for! Topics will include: weather, movie showings, driving directions, social media, games, and more.

Cybersecurity Basics

Is your data safe? Staying safe online is important in today’s world. This class will discuss Internet safety, virus prevention and protection, malware and social engineering, and what to do if your data is compromised.
