3D Printing

Want to learn how to print 3D objects at the library? This class will show you how to use our 3D printer and the basics of 3D modeling and printing. Topics include: what is a 3D printer and how does it work, 3D models and where to find them, and how to create your own 3D models, and more.

Learn how to access and browse the Internet. Topics include basic terminology, how to use search engines, and how to navigate within websites.

Cybersecurity

Is your data safe? We use our computers and smart devices to do everything from browsing social media to mobile banking. In this class we will cover the best practices for browsing the internet safely, using VPNs, and the many types of malwares and how to prevent them. 

iPhone vs Android

Looking to buy a new smart phone and unsure whether to go with an iPhone or an Android? Thinking of switching sides? In this class, we will discuss the biggest differences between the two platforms, price differences, different models and Android manufacturers, and more. 

Intro to Microsoft Word

Learn the basics of creating a Word document using Microsoft Word 2010. Become familiar with how to create, edit, and revise documents, use the ribbon, format text, and more!

Intro to Google Suite

In this class we will walk through the process of signing up for a Google account and discuss the different Drive features (Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Slides, and Forms), email,  and cloud storage options.

Tech Talk sessions are tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual. Book a 30-minute appointment with our Technology Coordinator or our Guiding Ohio Online Technology Trainers to have in-depth technical assistance on topics such as starting an email account, smart devices, downloading e-books and audiobooks, using the Internet, or other computer basics.
