Join us as we learn basic cooking skills this summer! In June, we will learn to make homemade hummus. In July, we will make breakfast treats. These programs are supported by the State Library of Ohio with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences.

Bite-Size Fossil Hunt – Grades 1-4

Young explorers in grades 1-4 are invited to dig into the past in this fun hands-on archaeology adventure! In this bite-size class, kids will carefully excavate “fossils” hidden inside cookie layers, learning basic archaeology techniques along the way.

Icing on the Cake – Grades 2-4

Decorate and create with this hands-on 4-H cake decorating class! Kids will learn basic decorating techniques like piping, frosting, and adding fun designs to make their cakes stand out. Come ready to decorate and take home a sweet masterpiece!
Family Pasta Making – Families

Picture Book Mini Golf – Families

Join us to play a round of mini golf based on your favorite picture book characters. Drop in any time during library hours. Last round of golf will begin one hour before the library closes each day.

Cookies & Books Book Discussion
1st Wednesday of the Month at 12:00 PM
Grades 3-4
Read a good book, enjoy sweet treats, and do fun activities. Each month, we will read books from a different genre. Kids are invited to bring a sack lunch to this lunchtime book club! Please note the earlier time. Registration is required.

Birthday Greeting from the Library
Does your child love getting mail? Sign up your child, aged 1-10, to receive a birthday greeting from the library. 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
This free program encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before they enter Kindergarten. The program is for kids from birth to the beginning of Kindergarten. Reading together helps develop important pre-reading skills to encourage learning success. Earn fun incentives while preparing your child to succeed in school.

500 Books Before Middle School
The concept of the program is simple: read a book, any book, and have fun! The goal is to read 500 books (on individual reading levels) before your child starts middle school (and yes, you can repeat books). This free program encourages kids in Kindergarten – 4th grade to reinforce the reading skills they are learning in school. Earn a free book and a sweet treat when you complete 500 books.
