Free tutoring and homework help for all K-12 students. Whether your student is catching up or trying to get ahead, our professional tutors are here to help your child succeed. Appointments are available by clicking the button below or can be scheduled by calling the library.
YA Summer Reading Program – Grades 5-12

Register for our Young Adult Summer Reading Program and stop by the Youth Services Desk to pick up your reading log!
YA Open Game Play – Grades 5-12
Wednesdays, June 10 & 24 and July 8 & 22, 3:00-5:00 PM
Join us at the library for open gaming. Use one of our laptops or Switch – or bring your own! Room locations may vary. No registration required.
Code Club – Grades 5-8
Tuesdays, June 16 – July 7, 1:00-2:00 PM
Students in grades 5th-8th are invited to take part in a 4 week pilot program in which they will learn how to code in Scratch, a block-based programming language, starting from the very basics. The library will have laptops for students to use.

Our YA Café is back with summer sessions Come socialize with refreshments and crafts. No registration is necessary.

Join us in June to make the trendy Chinese treat, Tanghulu, and a fun and artful snack in a cup with our Charcuterie Cups. In July, we’ll be making fruit salsa and cinnamon chips.These programs are supported by the State Library of Ohio with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences.

During this interactive class, participants will be introduced to foundational computer science concepts through hand-on activities that include the Human Robot Challenge and Coding Grid Escape Challenge.
YA 3D Print Series – Grades 5-12

Learn the basics of CAD software and 3D printing in this 4 week summer series where you will use Tinkercad to create your own customized projects. Space limited.
YA Engineering Design Lab: Build, Test, Improve! – Grades 5-12

During this hands-on challenge, participants will become engineers as they tackle design challenges with the Bridge Builder Challenge and Catapult Engineering Challenge.

YA Math Meets Music: Patterns, Rhythm, and STEM! – Grades 5-12

Through rhythm, patterns and creative exploration, participants will investigate how mathematical thinking influences the music we hear every day through the Rhythm Fractions Challenge and Pattern Composing Challenge.
100 Books Before High School
Register for our Middle School reading challenge for grades 5-8. Earn prizes for every 25 books you read. You can read any book you choose & even count required reading for school! Once you register, stop by the Youth Services desk to pick up a paper log to keep track of your books.

Join our High School reading challenge and earn incentives for every 25 books read. There will be a grand prize drawing each school year for those who have completed the challenge. Once you register, stop by the Youth Services desk to pick up a log to keep track of your books.
